Overview
Instead of offering the PDA as a standalone award, we offer the following leadership and management units at SVQ Level 4 Care Services Leadership and Management and can contribute towards meeting the supervisory requirements within adult care services:

Maintain Effective Communication Systems and Practice
These nationally recognised, work-based units are aligned with National Occupational Standards and are designed to support leadership, supervision and professional practice within Health and Social Care settings.
Who Is This Qualification For?
This qualification is suitable for individuals working in supervisory, leadership or management roles within Health and Social Care settings. It is ideal for lead practitioners, senior support workers, team leaders and managers looking to develop their leadership skills and gain a recognised qualification aligned with SSSC requirements.
What You Will Learn
Learners will develop the knowledge and skills required to effectively lead teams, support professional development and maintain high standards of care within the workplace. Key areas include communication, leadership, safeguarding, reflective practice and professional responsibilities within Health and Social Care settings.
Assessment Methods
Assessment is workplace-based and completed using a range of methods including workplace observations, professional discussions, reflective accounts and portfolio evidence. Learners are supported throughout the qualification by a dedicated assessor.
Flexible Delivery
We offer flexible, work-based delivery across Scotland, allowing learners to complete their qualification alongside existing work commitments while gaining evidence through everyday practice.
Career Progression
Completing this qualification can support progression into leadership, supervisory and management roles within Health and Social Care. It can also provide progression to further leadership and management qualifications and continued professional development opportunities.
