Our Infection Prevention and Control Training course provides health and social care staff with the knowledge and understanding required to reduce the risk of infection and maintain safe, hygienic care environments.
The training covers the principles of infection prevention, hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning and decontamination procedures, waste disposal, management of outbreaks, and the importance of following standard infection control precautions. Learners will also gain an understanding of how infections spread and the responsibilities of care staff in protecting individuals, visitors, and colleagues.
This course supports compliance with the SSSC Codes of Practice, Health and Social Care Standards, infection control guidance, and relevant health and safety legislation within health and social care settings.
