This Catheter Care Training course is designed to provide healthcare and social care staff with the knowledge and skills required to safely support individuals who use urinary catheters. The training covers the different types of catheters, their purpose, and the importance of maintaining catheter hygiene to reduce the risk of infection and complications.
Participants will learn about catheter care procedures, infection prevention and control, recognising signs of catheter-related problems, maintaining dignity and comfort, and when to seek medical advice.
